To help cultural organizations continue to enrich the quality of life in Miami-Dade County: donate more to FAN to increase our grant pool; give directly to arts organizations; buy subscriptions to arts programming as soon as they are available.
If you are a registered voter in Florida and wish to express concern about the governor’s vetoing of the funding for the arts, you can do so by calling the governor’s office directly: (850) 717-9337, or you can contact your elected officials; find their contact information at https://dos.fl.gov/elections/contacts/. You might mention that aside from improving the quality of life for Floridians, our cultural scene supports our economy, to the extent that it has been calculated that every dollar of funding generates about $9 more in related income.
